![]() ![]() It takes a visit to the seaside, and a couple of preternaturally powerful socks to the jaw, to break Dane's armor. In between magical trips and shenanigans, Tom and Dane chat about the nature of reality, the Invisibles, and their war against "the dark forces that would rule this planet." Dane absorbs all this information the only way he can - with a Liverpool street kid's skepticism and lots of cursing. The city is a virus, says Tom, using humans to replicate itself for purposes understood only by machines and control systems, until there is no more chaos to consume and the hosts build flying building-ships to carry the building virus to new resources. Tom takes him from an abandoned tube stop with strange graffiti (where Dane could swear he goes somewhere very, very else for a bit, but can't quite remember), to a park bench where Tom feeds some pigeons, the better to pop out Dane's eyes for a second and swap them with those of a bird that flies all through London and can somehow see the other side of the city, the true self that Tom's been conjuring on and off, the darkened steel lifeform that shits blood and money into the Thames and pools its power into great pyramidal towers that hide in plain sight. Soon, Dane is seeing the city with different eyes - literally. Tom O'Bedlam, as he further explains himself, claims to be the world's most powerful living magician, and out of disbelieving cussedness and fascination, Dane deigns to follow him around for a while. So, Dane reasons, something interesting's going on with this Tom fellow. ![]() The bobbie questions Tom about Dane's whereabouts, gets no sensible answer, and moves on - while Dane stands beside Tom in plain view for the entire exchange. Later that same day, Tom snatches Dane as he runs from the police, and pulls him into an alley. Dane is getting by on shoplifted snacks and has made a couple of nice gutter-punk friends, who tell him Tom's harmless but annoying, and can be safely ignored. Mad Tom is a beggar, looking every bit the part with his army-surplus gear and wizardly grey beard, muttering a pastiche of literature and rhythmic chant. He hauls Dane the hell out of there and barely has time to explain that he's the leader of a cell within the secret society known as the Invisibles and Dane is their newest recruit, before he disappears, leaving Dane alone and homeless on the streets of London. He tears into Harmony House, its staff, and finally its headmaster, with handguns and your basic contemporary-action-hero kung fu. King Mob is a fury in shock white hair, a curious diving-mask thing, and an even more curious black vinyl jacket that looks like it's had little black-vinyl Dixie cups glued to it all over. Nothing short of an armed rescue team could save Dane now. He alludes repeatedly that he may have a changed sort of sight, and with Dane cornered and his establishment caught red-handed, he prophesies what Dane will become, like himself: "smooth between the ears, smooth between the legs". Gelt, a corpulent ghoul in a dark suit and darker glasses. An alarm sounds, and he's caught by the headmaster, Mr. Dane, of course, goes sneaking around and finds some rather nasty remnants of the House's former clients. The folks who run Harmony House claim openly that they will turn their charges into hollow shells who will thank Harmony House for teaching them what authority really means. ![]() He's in the midst of the latter when he's apprehended, and sent to a very strange correctional facility for boys, called Harmony House. And much has been left out of this summary.)ĭane McGowan is a long-haired blond kid from Liverpool whose interests include stealing cars and running them into ditches, and setting his school building on fire with various crude explosives. (Spoilers of the first four issues below, but the first four issues really don't spoil much of anything, themselves acting as a kind of preview. ![]()

10/26/2022 0 Comments Magic mirror heroic deck![]() The Heroic Silverware Golem has 15 Armor on top of the 30 Health and it can summon 2 1/1 Plates instead of one with its hero power. Strong Taunt minions could work too, but Silverware Golem has decent removal options so it’s just better to go with clearing the board instead. You could also go the Flamewaker route that should help you take out most plates. Minions like Wild Pyromancer, Ravaging Ghoul, and, of course, Doomsayer will help keep the board under control or clear it out if need be. Going with a Mage deck will let you use your Hero power to take out those 1-health minions that are buffing the plates and in that way help keep the Golem’s board manageable. Other than that, this boss will play quite a few Warrior spells, like Slam, as a way to keep your side of the board in check.Īs you can see, you’ll need a deck that can take out many low-health minions – usually 1 or 2 health ones – and that’s no hard task because there are a few classes than can do that. There’s the 2-mana 2/1 Cup, which gives Plates +1 Attack, the 3-mana 3/1 Fork, which gives Plates Charge, the 5-mana 5/1 minion that gives Plates Taunt, the 5-mana Tossing Plates spell (that channels Oprah), which summons 5 1/1 Plates, and Set the Table, which gives Plates +1/+1. Silverware Golem also has a 1/3 1-mana weapon called, appropriately, Spoon, along with other cards that buff those plates. ![]() So, as you can imagine, you will be getting lots of low-health minions on the board in this encounter. The boss’ Hero power is the zero-mana Be our Guest and it summons a 1/1 Plate minion. your reward is Silverware Golem and Deadly Fork. Your goal is to “reach the top of the tower before the party takes over," but the silverware is all there to stop you from doing so. MAGIC MIRROR HEROIC DECK MOVIEThe first Boss of the first Wing is Silverware Golem, and if you’ve ever watched the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast, you’ll find this encounter familiar. Silverware Golem Normal and Heroic Boss Tips and Decklist You’ll get 11 cards when you complete the Wing and the Class challenges, so plenty of lovely loot waiting for you at the end of The Parlor. This guide will cover all three bosses in both Normal and Heroic, so let’s begin. There are also 2 class challenges, Shaman and Priest. This Wing has three bosses, the Silverware Golem, the Magic Mirror, and Chess, and all three are quite entertaining. Wing 1, The Parlor, has you walking through Karazhan along with Moroes, Karazhan’s steward, since Medivh has disappeared after the Prologue encounter. And now, the serious business of tackling the Adventure begins. MAGIC MIRROR HEROIC DECK HOW TOIf you haven’t played the Prologue yet, you can check out our guide on how to defeat Prince Malchezaar. The deck could probably work better with Mage, but I wanted to try a challenge, and Rogue did have good cards that synergized with the idea via mainly Gang Up and Dark Iron Skulker.I hope you’ve all enjoyed playing through the Prologue of One Night in Karazhan, Hearthstone‘s (Free) newest Adventure. It was just a matter of predicting when he'd have mirror entity and duplicate out, so that I could deal massive board damage, or put my own board clears minions into his hand because I knew the AI would play them along with his own other important minions. I wanted to try Cult Apothecary in the deck but it'd be better to just run Healbot instead, most health I ever got off of Apothecary was 8 on one occasion all other times was 6. (Mirror couldn't target Patron with fireball from Antonidas, proceeded to use arcane missiles and filled my board with patrons). Conceal could be replaced with something else since I never really found a use for it with the exception of it being used once to help me win my match against him. I tried to deal with Antonidas immediately via Doomsayer, but also early on played Gang Up on my Doomsayers so that I could have more board clears for stalls. It eventually came down to just fatiguing the Mirror and having Grim Patron on the field to take the massive amounts of Arcane Missiles from the double Rhonin. Well I tried to make a deck without using either of them and managed to end up winning after about 5 tries. So my first thought when it came to this boss for Heroic was to use Ancient Watchers and Eerie Statues. ![]() |
